ClawSweeper is an operator pattern for sweeping a backlog with many agents.12 In it, review proposes and does not hold write credentials, and apply rechecks live state immediately before any mutation.2
Overview
Each item keeps one evidence file, and closes stay conservative.2
Mechanism
- Review is proposal-only.2
- The live target is rechecked immediately before every mutation.2
- One evidence file per item records the decision, the evidence, and the proposed action.2
- An item is closed or merged only when policy, confidence, and an unchanged snapshot all allow it.2
- Repair or automerge happens only through an explicit operator command.2
Applications
The pattern is relevant when many agents might close or merge work and the reviewer must not be the writer.
Limitations
Auto-closing without a live recheck and a durable evidence file falls outside the pattern.2
