An ephemeral wiki is compiled for one question and is not the durable wiki. A hard question can spawn a short-lived wiki, which is linted and looped before a report is written.1 The source post has since been deleted.

Overview

The work is inference-time, not maintenance of the durable wiki.1 An opening retrieval can seed the compile and is not durable memory;2 the numbers reported for that retrieval method are the authors’ own. The report is what is kept, and the throwaway wiki is not the durable store.

Mechanism

  1. Context is optionally seeded by splitting the question, searching, pooling, and reranking.2
  2. An ephemeral wiki is constructed for the question.1
  3. It is linted, and the cycle repeats.1
  4. A full report is written.1

Applications

The pattern applies when one hard question deserves a short compiled artifact instead of a query against the durable wiki.

Limitations

Throwaway wikis do not replace the durable wiki, and the pattern does not define roles beyond those stated in its source.
